About PREIMS (PRotein Experimental Information Management System)

PREIMS is a database of various experimental protocols, which have been developed during the Target Proteins Research Project (TPRP) promoted by the Ministry of education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) of Japan. Researchers engaged in the TPRP submit their experimental protocols, which are viewed on this PREIMS portal with their accession priority.

The experimental protocols are described by ontology, constructed by the ontology editor, "Hozo", as well as by a normal flat text.

Usage of PREIMS portal

The queries are issued with the keyword and the original ID that is identified at registration. For example, when the keyword "expression" is input and the search button is clicked, a list of several experimental protocols having the keyword "expression" appears on the screen. The list of the experimental protocols in PREIMS is also displayed, and each protocol can be accessed from the protocol list. The publicly available protocols are accessed directly from the protocol list.
